My name is Abel Morales and I’m 21 years old. I currently serve in the U.S. Army Georgia National Guard and I am a full-time student majoring in Information Technology, I’m a computer geek! Anyways, here is my story:
When I was in high school, I was a soccer stud; I was in shape and nothing could stop me. After high school, I had to work full-time and go to school full-time because financially, I could not afford to just go to school. Working the office and “Corporate America” lifestyle, I gained so much weight. When I decided to join the military back in 2010 and left to Basic Combat Training, I lost about 20 lbs but lacked definition.
In December 2010, I went to visit family in El Salvador and had a minor surgery that wouldn’t allow me to do any physical exercise for two months in which I gained those 20 lbs back. I was weighing the most I have ever weighed in my life; 192 lbs. While working at the armory, I ran into an old high school friend that was about to swear into the guard that day; when he saw me he said, “Abel, you look so much bigger than you did in high school, you’ve gained some weight, huh?” To me that was the moment where I said to myself, “I’m fat and I have to change it, I need to be healthy.”
When I went home that day, I looked at different programs to try to lose weight and ran into P90X. I looked over some YouTube videos and saw that real people were getting real results. I bought P90X that night and my neighbor and I decided to do it together. I took a Day 1 picture and compared it to my Day 30 picture and saw I was getting real results; my chest was more defined and I was losing weight around my waist. At that point, I decided that other people are having the same struggle as I was originally; I decided to provide people with FREE information on nutrition and what I did to get back into shape. I look forward to helping you change your life because I know what it takes to become fit.
